Names consist of two parts. Each of which is three letters in length. The first part refers to the company, the second one to the person. The two parts are connected by a dash (-).
Shorten a company name:
- If the company name consists of one word only
- Take the first two letters of the company name and the last one.
- Example: Lollipop ==> lop
- If the company name consists of two words, four words or more
- Take the first character of the first word and the first two characters of the last word
- Example: stepping stone ==> sst
- Example: Pricey Items GmbH ==> pit
- If the company name consists of three words
- Take the first character of each word
- Example: My First Company AG ==> mfc
Shorten a person's name:
- Take the first letter of the first name and the first two letters of the last name
- Example: Michael Eichenberger ==> mei
Complete example:
- Michael Eichenberger, stepping stone GmbH ==> sst-mei
